The construction and real estate industry is not moving as fast as it once did, leading companies to focus on resource optimization. One of the most accessible ways to achieve this is by filling key positions with the right, loyal professionals. Hiring for these critical roles is costly, and too much turnover sends negative signals to the market.

Doubling the Expertise

This trend is particularly noticeable at Asplund Search & Consulting, where owner Bo Asplund has been exceptionally busy since founding the company on June 1, 2022. Business has been so brisk that he is now expanding both the firm and its expertise by partnering with Morten Mølsted.

"It turned out to be a wise decision to specialize in the construction and real estate industry. My clients have undoubtedly chosen me because I possess the necessary expertise and insight into the field," says Bo Asplund.

Strong Background in Real Estate Development

Morten Mølsted, 43, brings a solid background as a real estate and commercial broker before becoming an independent project developer in the real estate sector a few years ago. His experience includes asset management positions at several real estate companies and a role as a real estate developer at NCC.

"I have a strong background in the real estate industry, while Bo’s expertise is in construction. We will complement each other well, as we have a vast combined network and a deep understanding of the industry's challenges and opportunities," says Morten Mølsted.

"We now have concrete professional experience in asset management, real estate investments, buying and selling properties, construction, engineering consulting, and executive-level management," adds Bo Asplund.

The two have known each other through business networks for nearly a decade, and Morten has already been involved in a few headhunting assignments at Asplund Search & Consulting.
